SWiPE – Smart Work in Platform Economy – is a project funded by the Strategic Research Council for the period of 2016 –2019.

In the SWiPE research consortium, we study the changes in work and entrepreneurship in the era of platform economy in diverse and multidisciplinary basis. We study how the changes in the global economy, new technologies and new platforms of working affect the content of work, the forms and ways of working, as well as entrepreneurship. The project also studies the new types of relationships that exist between education, work and entrepreneurship, as well as the entrepreneurship of immigrants and how immigrants integrate into the working life. We review the new meanings of work from the point of view of individuals, organisations and society.

At the SWiPE consortium we produce new and current research data. We publish a wide array of scientific publications and produce researched knowledge for the use of decision makers.

We participate in the societal and economic discussions, and as experts of our field, we support and promote knowledge-based policies.
