Professor Anne Kovalainen, head of the SWiPE Consortium spoke at the New Work Factory – Impact Seminar on the 30th of November held in Kulttuurikeskus Korjaamo in Helsinki. Professor Kovalainen adressed the seminar on the topic “Digitalisation as a social phenomenon and source of renewal”. The seminar touched upon themes ranging from Industrie 4.0, Digitalisation, Automation and Robotisation. Asking whether these would destroy jobs or create new places of work; what might the new work factory look like, and how might industrial unions respond to the coming shift?
